Myron Oatman (470)

Myron (Eliakim, George, George, John, Johannes), son of Eliakim and Lucy (Stoddard) Oatman, was born 29 October 1803 in Vermont and died 21 February 1873 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan. He married Sarah _____, born ca 1802 in New York.

Myron was a carpenter and joiner and after leaving Vermont he lived in various places around the Syracuse and Ithaca, New York, areas until about 1860. At that time he moved to Medina, Medina County, Ohio, moving on a few years later to Bay City. Nothing is known about his wife Sarah except for the above scanty information.

Children of Myron and Sarah Oatman:

1520 Emeline, b. 1829, PA

1521 Julia A., b. 1831, NY. Julia was a dressmaker.

1522 Isaac W., b. 1835, NY. Isaac was apparently in Oakland Co., MI, in the late 1860's-early 1870's. The Deed Index from 1866-1879 show at least three land transactions: In June 1866 he deeded a lot in Davisburgh to Abm. V. Shepherd; in 1872, he received land from John Voorhees and apparently sold the same to William Davis.

1524 Lydia V., b. 1843, NY
