He Married: 1) prior to 1719, Isabelle, daughter of (Captain) James Williams. The Captain was apparently not highly pleased with this marriage as indicated by his will:

"in the name of God, Amen. I, James Williams, Esq., Captain of one of his Majesty's Independent Companies of New York, being in perfect health. I leave to my daughter Isabelle, wife of John Outman, 20 shillings, in bar of all claims to my estate as sole heir and daughter. I leave to my wife, Elizabeth, my old and new house lots of lands and premises where I now live, and all my setate, and make her executor.
