Midsummer was born in 1996 to Ripple. She was born into a rather large matriline consisting of her mom, her grandma Stripe, and her uncles Okisollo and Fife.
In 2000, when Midsummer was four years old, her grandmother passed away. The next year, her uncle Okisollo also died.
Thanks to genetic testing, we know that Midsummer is a female, and have for a while.
In 2003, Fife was hit by a ferry. Midsummer and Ripple watched over him and were probably a large part of his recovery.
In 2002 and on, the orphan Springer occasionally spent time with the family. Springer is only four years younger than Midsummer, so she had a playmate!
Midsummer now travels with her mom and her uncle Fife. She is now nine years old and healthy. In a few more years she'll be having calves of her own!
