Izumi was born around 1964, to Scarlett. He was the only one of her children to be born before the study began.
When the study did begin in 1973, Izumi was around 9 years old and hadn't matured yet. He was traveling with his grandma B11, his great-uncle Baronet, hi mom and his uncles Hooker, B3, and B5. B5 was about the same age as Izumi, so they probably played together.
That same year, Bauza was born and B11 died. Izumi probably played all the time with the young orphan.
In 1979, when Izumi was 15 and beginning to mature, he got a younger brother, Slingsby. And when he turned 20 and became a fully grown male, he got another brother, Nakwakto.
In 1987, his third brother Yuculta was born. Only four years later, his only known sister, Klaskish, joined the family.
As years went on, many of his uncles died until there were none left. He gained one last sibling, Raven, in 1995.
Izumi was a beautiful whale. His fin was tall and fairly straight, with indentations near the top. When his brothers matured around 1999, the four boys had tons of fun playing together.
In 2002, at the age of around 38, Izumi passed away.
