Read the following information
thoroughly before beginning this assignment and complete each step in
consecutive order.
Assignment 1 must be completed in order to do this assignment and receive a
grade for this assignment.
This assignment will
be evaluated as 5% of your final mark.
All parts of this
assignment must be completed by 11:59 PM on Monday, September 29, 2008.
Late or un-submitted assignments will receive a grade of zero.
Marks will be deducted for errors/incompleteness/not completing this assignment
as required.
Some of the things you
will lose marks for are: Incorrect website and/or email account name; Missing
information; Incomplete information; Inaccurate Information; Erroneous
information but not for erroneous information you are specifically directed to
use to set up your own CFADW course blog; Not using your own name and/or
student number; Unanswered questions; Incompletely answered questions;
Inadequately/poorly answered questions; Spelling errors; Grammar errors;
Formatting errors; Incorrect email subject line.
Because Yahoo makes
changes, some of the details or responses you receive while completing this
assignment may have changed since these instructions were developed; it is your
responsibility to accommodate those changes to successfully complete the
assignment.
It
is a lot easier to complete this assignment if you follow the instructions
from a printed copy. Complete the assignment sequentially, step-by-step, pay close attention
to the instructions and, as you do them, put a checkmark next to each completed
step.
When you have completed this assignment, you will have
established a Yahoo! 360 Blog for the CFADW course and posted your group’s
presentation topic to the CFADW course blog at:

(1) Sign into your CFADW course Yahoo! email account:
https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?.intl=ca&.src=ym
(2) In your Yahoo! email account inbox, click on the
email message title: Connect to Prof on Yahoo! 360
The email message should appear.
(3) Click on: Connect to me
The “Welcome to Yahoo 360” web page should
appear.
(4) For “Nickname”, enter your: Last name followed
by your First name
(5) For “Email Address”, use your own
CFADW Yahoo! email address
(6) Click on: Finished
The “Yahoo! 360” web page should appear.
(7) Click on: Settings
The “Basic Info” web page should appear.
(8) In “Current Location”, enter:

(10) Change “Time Zone” to: GMT -05:00
(11) Click on: Save & Continue
The “Set up your communication settings”
web page should appear.
(12) Click on: Save & Continue
The “Create a blog on Yahoo! 360” web page
should appear.
(13) In the “Description” textbox, enter:
CFADW 14880 personal blog.
(14) Below “Simple URL”, click on the
checkbox to select it
(15) Below “Who can see your blog”,
select: Friends
(16) Below “Who can post comments to your
blog”, select: Friends of friends
(17) Click on: Save & Continue
The “Choose your alert settings” web page
should appear.
(18) Click on the “Comments” checkbox to
select it
(19) Click on: Save & Continue
The “Basic Info” web page should appear.
(20) Click on: Home
The “Home” web page should appear.
(21) Below “Contacts” click on: CFADW14880
The “CFADW14880” blog web page should
appear.
(22) In the “Presentation Topic Selection”
blog page, click on: View Blog
(23) At the bottom of the page, click on: Comment
The “Presentation Topic Selection” blog
page with comments should appear.
(24) Read the blog content, including the comments
members of other groups have made which state the topics they have chosen, and,
when you and your presentation partner have chosen an available
presentation topic (A topic not already chosen by the members of another
group.), compose your presentation topic comment in the format shown in comment
1 and post your comment. (Your
presentation partner has to do this assignment too and submit the same topic
separately.)
(25) Sign out.
You may return
to the CFADW Yahoo! 360 blog at the following website address: http://ca.360.yahoo.com/cfadw14880
then sign in with your own Yahoo! ID and password and, when your blog web page
appears, click on “My Friends” then click on: cfadw14880 to view
the CFADW14880 blog.
