"Bello Sueno" in Spanish translates into Beautiful Dream and for both Brenda and myself moving to Santiago, Manzanillo has become just that. Brenda & I would like to invite you to spend your time in Manzanillo with us at our Hogar (spanish for home) in Santiago. We started visiting the Santiago area over 12 years ago and have loved it so much that we moved from Victoria B.C., Canada to Mexico permanently. We are located approximately 15 kms. north of Manzanillo in the beautiful little town of Santiago. The Manzanillo airport is approximately 18 kms. north of Santiago.

We are within a 10 minute walk to the rolling surf of Santiago Bay or the center of town where there are many local restaurants you can sample true Mexican cuisine at reasonable prices. If you are adventuresome the public bus system is a 2 minute walk from the house and can take you pretty well anywhere you wish to go in the Manzanillo area and provides a cheap form of transportation. Taxi's are always available if you prefer an alternative to walking or the local buses.

There are many wonderful and exciting activities to explore. From Snorkling, Diving, Horseback Riding (on the beach), Body Surfing, Deep Sea Fishing (Manzanillo is known as the Sailfish Capital of the World and we can provide you with a reputable charter). Side trips can be arranged through us to visit Colima (Capital of the state of Colima), Barra de Navidad ( a beautiful little seaside resort), Visit one of the world's most active volcanos "Volcan de Fuego" (Fire Volcano) and stop in the little town of Comala, where the purchase of a drink will provide you with free Mexican appetizers, the Turtle Sanctuary in Cuytlan, or walk up along the beach to the 3 flea markets across the road from the Maeva Hotel & Resort. Santiago also has it's own market day every Saturday where venders from all over the area set up stalls and sell their wares, fruits, vegetables and the wonderful silver jewelry Mexico is known for.
